People listen. People hear. People pay attention. People notice. People think about. People remember. People consider what they hear others say. People are influenced by others’ words. When people listen to the words of Jesus’ followers, what do they hear? When people listen to what you speak, what stands out to them? Can they tell by your words that you are a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ? Can they tell you love the Lord? Do they hear that you are totally devoted to God? Or do they listen to you and hear someone who sounds like a world filled with people whose backs are turned to God?
Can they tell by your words that you’re on fire for Jesus? Do they know by your words how thankful you are to God? Are your words filled with love for God and Thanksgiving to Him? Are you a godly influence on people in your actions and attitude – and in your words? Or do you have some work to do in this area of your life? People are listening. When they listen to you and me, may they hear people totally devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ who are thankful, so thankful, for the Lord and to the Lord, AMEN!
“My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.” Psalms 145:21
