“I don’t know why I am doing this,” I thought.
I had a big project I had begun working on, and for all intents and purposes, it seemed pointless to do it. All projects like this one I had worked on in the past seemed to have failed. I had a zillion other things I could have been working on instead of this project. I was exhausted. I wasn’t excited about it as perhaps I would have been under different circumstances and with seeming success in the past. So why was I committed to proceed with the project anyway?
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. I have learned to give the Lord 100%. Because He is Lord. Because I am His. Because I love Him with all my heart. Because I don’t need to understand why God tells me to do something. Because I don’t need to feel like doing it. Because I don’t need to get the results I want and not get the results I don’t want. I do it above all else because Jesus Christ is Lord. Is my flesh pleased and comfortable and happy and at ease with all God calls me to do? No! Oh, but the joy I find in Jesus, in His love, in loving and serving Him with every ounce of my heart!
No matter what God calls you to do, please give Him the 100% He is worthy of in all He calls you to do for Him! Love and serve the Lord with every ounce of your heart, AMEN! With love, joy, gladness, and thanksgiving, serve the Lord, Hallelujah!
