A sister in the Lord sent me a photo one day of a skinny, simple plant which appeared for all intents and purposes to be lifting its two slender branches up toward the heavens in prayer, praise, and adoration of the Lord. Everything about the little plant seemed to be looking upward. As though nothing in the universe mattered more than loving and worshiping the Lord.
Friend, how often are you and I looking upward to the Lord? Seeking Him? Praying to Him? Praising Him? Worshiping Him? Listening to Him? Adoring Him? Meditating on Him? And on the Bible? Speaking to Him? Speaking to others of Him? Communing with Him? Fellowshipping with Him? Fellowshipping with others in His name for His glory rather than focusing solely on earthly matters? Singing to Him? Our hands raised upward? Our hearts lifted skyward? Our eyes looking up? Magnifying Him? Up, up, up to the Lord?
Is it possible, friend, that the little plant is more turned upward to God almighty in heaven than you and I are? Do we have some reorienting to do? Some turning upward to do? Surely we have much to do in our everyday lives here on this earth, but nothing absolutely nothing is more important than loving, praising, adoring, serving, worshiping, and glorifying the Lord and telling others about Him and pointing them upward to the Lord!
Thank you Lord for the praying praising plant inspiring us to turn, turn, turn to you! To look, look, look to you! To pray, pray, pray to you! To praise, praise, praise you! To worship, worship, worship you! To exalt, exalt, exalt you! To love you with all our hearts, oh Lord! To live, live, live for you! To humble ourselves before you! To dance before you! To sing to you! To do whatever you desire to glorify you, oh Lord, yes, AMEN!
