I was thinking how unfriendly some people could be at a particular place of business though they seemed to bounce back and forth between friendly and unfriendly when the Holy Spirit of God broke into my thoughts.
The Lord Jesus Christ as I considered the situation brought to light in my heart that instead of focusing on how unfriendly they could be I should focus on how friendly I should be!
When I considered it more, I realized I had a wonderful opportunity to show them the love and light, the mercy and grace, the forgiveness and kindness, and the goodness of Jesus regardless of whether or not they were friendly to me. No matter how they treated me.
We can be so easily prone to point the finger at others who are not showing the love and goodness of Jesus all the while neglecting to look at our own selves and to make certain we are treating others in a manner glorifying to God and loving to them.
Need to do some growing in this area? I believe to one extent or another we all do! So let us humble ourselves, admit where we fall short in this, and grow in the image and by the power of the Holy Spirit of God!

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 NKJV
“And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:3-5 NKJV
“This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” John 15:12 NKJV
