This Will Upset the Devil

I could be wrong, but I believe with all my heart this will get the devil very upset. And this thought just came to me minutes ago as something happened. I was just about to start worrying about something for the zillionth time in my life since I am exceedingly prone to worry when all of a sudden I decided to pray instead. Then I realized the devil was probably really upset. After all, I am sure the devil loves when God’s people worry. Worry is sin against God, and worry messes with our relationship with Him, keeps us from trusting Him as we should, brings us into bondage, makes us feel stuck, gets us distracted from God and His will for us, exhausts us, makes us feel stuck and become mentally paralyzed, etc. For sure the devil would love all that.

But what if every time you felt you were about to start worrying, or found that you had already started, you decided to cry out to God in prayer instead for the very people, places, things, situations, circumstances, etc. you were about to or had already started worrying about?

This message is plain and simple. Let all of us who are prone to worry choose to cry out to God instead! Let us pray, pray, pray according to the leading of the Holy Spirit of God. And let us watch God do what only He can do. We can worry to no end with no positive results, only negative ones, or we can cry out to God and put our trust in Him and watch Him answer our cries according to His perfect will. Hallelujah! AMEN!

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14-15 NKJV
