Victorious Vessel for God!

What comes to mind when you read the following verses? Please read them, and then read on!

“And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” Luke 22:31-32 KJV

Never in a million years did I believe years ago when someone pointed out these verses to me that I would ever have any victory in my life and most certainly not enough if I had any at all to be able through the Lord Jesus Christ to help, love, encourage, comfort, pray for, inspire, support, care for, and help strengthen others.

But God in His amazing lovingkindness and awesome power has done the miraculous in me and brought me to a point in my life in which I have numerous opportunities to do just that.

And His Holy Spirit has brought this message to my heart to share with you about USING OUR VICTORIES NOT TO LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER ON EARTH TO STORE UP SELF-CENTERED TEMPORARY WORLDLY PLEASURES BUT INSTEAD TO LOVE, BLESS, ENCOURAGE, AND HELP OTHERS TO HAVE THEIR OWN VICTORIES THROUGH THE LOVE, STRENGTH, MERCY, GRACE, POWER, TRUTH, PROMISES, ETC. OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!

Friend, in loving the Lord with all our hearts and loving others as ourselves, we should ever look for opportunities to be a vessel of God’s love and blessings in others’ lives – including when it comes to using our experience and the growing and refining we have done in our own battles to help others to win theirs and most of all to help them to find and follow Jesus now and forevermore!

Oh, Father, help us win our battles! Oh, Lord, help us help others win theirs! And may we always – yes ALWAYS – give YOU the glory for our victories, oh Lord, AMEN! May we not be selfish and self-centered concerning our victories and successes. May we deny self and give unto others as you so lead us, AMEN! Oh, may we help people to love and follow you forever, dear God, AMEN!

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:” Matthew 6:19-20 KJV
