“I have spoken, and I am God,” the Holy Spirit of God who lives inside His followers spoke to my heart one morning. “Bow down before me.”
Yes, I hear God speak to me on a regular basis. Word by word. Years of crying out to Him in prayer, of seeking His face to no end, of reading the Bible daily, of being totally devoted to Him, of hungering and thirsting and longing to be closer to Him, to please and honor Him, to love and adore Him, to serve and obey Him, to glorify Him. Years of praising and worshiping Him and spending time in His presence. Of learning to recognize His voice. Of knowing Him intimately. Of having a rich, vibrant, deep, personal relationship with Him. God speaks to His followers, and I have learned to listen.
Why did He tell me that He had spoken, that He is God, and to bow down before Him? Because He had given me instructions on something He had given me to do, and I was contemplating doing something different than what He had told me.
He was reminding me that He is God, that He is Lord, that when He speaks, His children are to listen and obey, that we are to humble ourselves before Him and lovingly, reverently, joyfully, thankfully, blessedly follow Him.
That we are not to live for self according to our fleshly desires and the world’s ways apart from Him. But that we are to live for the Lord Jesus Christ according to the Lord’s ways as He teaches us in the Bible and in full submission to His individual plans, instructions, and purpose for us.
God was being strong with me to keep me from falling and disobeying Him. He was helping me to live righteously and to be holy and godly.
And I am sharing this strong message with you as He is leading me to do.
Jesus Christ is Lord. When God speaks, listen. Hear Him. Humble yourself and obey Him. For He is God forevermore! Amen!
If you are tempted right now to go the wrong way, don’t. Live for Jesus! Obey God!
If you have already gone the wrong way, return to God! Pray for forgiveness and go forward doing what is right in God’s eyes!
If you have never gone the right way and don’t have a personal forever relationship with God, turn from your sins, believe Jesus Christ is Lord and that He died on the cross to pay your sin penalty and was raised from the dead, and turn to God and His ways with a genuine commitment to live for Jesus going forward. Receive God’s forgiveness, receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, receive the promise of a forever relationship with God, and ask God to give you the gift of His Holy Spirit.
Wherever you stand right now, live for Jesus! Be a totally devoted Jesus follower!
Seek God, hear God, and obey God! Hallelujah! AMEN!
