When God Sends You to a New Land

3

When God sends you to a new land, do not be surprised when some of the first inhabitants you will meet are Giants determined to send you back to where you came from. Furthermore, do not be surprised if your flesh cries out with desperation to pack your bags and flee. And, do not be surprised if a terrified voice pipes up to convince you that you are merely a grasshopper that will surely fail in the new land. After all, Satan cannot stand when we move forward in the will of God, and he is bound and determined to stop us whenever he is able. The question is, will you press on with the Lord, or will you tuck your tail between your legs and run? If God has sent you, He will also be with you. Your new land may be a new city, a new ministry, a new job, a new relationship, a new church, or simply learning to live according to the Word of God rather than the world’s way. I know all about this. I have moved to a new city, direct this still new ministry, am starting a new job, have a new relationship with the Lord, have returned to my home church with a new attitude, and am learning to live according to God’s Word. Satan’s Giants are raging as I follow Jesus forward. But as a loved one once told me, “If God has called you, He will also equip you.” Stop seeing yourself as a grasshopper, and remember through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord who lives inside you.

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than He that is in the world (1 John 4:4 KJV).”
