The Lord made abundantly clear what He wanted me to do in my ministry work. Something really big. My heart was willing. I started to take the necessary steps. I was committed to obey Him. Then the obstacles started to come. One after another. And all of a sudden it seemed impossible.
First there was the enemy, “You’ll never make it!” “You can’t do this!” Then there was a friend. “Blah blah blah.” In short, another fiery dart from the devil this time through a friend. Then there was the flesh. “How can I do this? What if such-and-such happens?” Then there were the physical obstacles. Everything from the weather to the dogs. Then there was the reality. Of a pandemic. Of the state of this world. Of my age. Of my recent health issues. Oh, and the list goes on. Talk about impossible! Right? Wrong!
Friend, WHEN THE LORD MAKES CLEAR HIS WILL TO US, WHEN WE SURRENDER OURSELVES TO HIM AND MAKE THE DECISION TO OBEY, GOD WILL PROVIDE ALL WE NEED RIGHT DOWN TO THE COURAGE, STRENGTH, RESOURCES, SUPPORT, HELP, LOVE, MERCY, GRACE, WISDOM, ABSOLUTELY ALL WE NEED TO FULFILL HIS WILL NO MATTER THE OBSTACLES WE FACE.
So what must we do? Live by faith. Put our trust in the Lord, seek, hear, and obey Him, spend time alone with Him each and every day, praise and worship Him, read and live by the Word, seek the filling of His Holy Spirit and follow the Spirit of Christ as He leads us forth!
Not a single obstacle on this earth is greater than the Lord. No matter how impossible following God and His will for us may seem, there is nothing impossible with God when it is His will and we are yielded to the Lord, His ways, and His will, hallelujah, AMEN!
Let us CHOOSE the way of faith. Let us CHOOSE the way of trust. Let us CHOOSE God’s will. Let us CHOOSE obedience. Let us be resolved to follow Jesus no matter what comes against us. Let us overcome our obstacles in the strength and wisdom of Christ. Let us have victory in, through, and for the Lord, AMEN!
