When People Reject You

“They don’t have to like me,” I said aloud as I did my morning ministry doggies chores. “I’m loved by the King!”

I had allowed myself for the umpteenth time in my life to drift back into meditating on people rejecting me.

And, oh, my, with decades of rejection behind me coupled with ongoing rejection to this very day, the hurt seems relentless sometimes.

What an incredible blessing and joy it was that morning to remember that no matter how many people on this earth reject me, and no matter how painful it is, that I AM LOVED BY THE LORD OF LORDS, KING OF KINGS, GOD ALMIGHTY, MY FATHER IN HEAVEN, JESUS THE CHRIST! FOREVER!

There is no amount of rejection and the pain that goes with it that cannot be superseded by the love, mercy, care, comfort, grace, and hope of Jesus and a forever fellowship with Him which we receive when we turn from our sins and believe in Him, in His death and resurrection, and turn our hearts and lives over to Him. Yes, our HEARTS. And our LIVES.

Feeling rejected? Give your HEART – and LIFE – to Jesus. Give Him everything hurts and hardships included. And rejoice that as His follower, you are LOVED BY THE KING! Receive all He has for you beginning with His forgiveness and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, awesome amazing LOVE! Forever and ever we who receive Him as Lord are LOVED by the Lord God almighty! Hallelujah! Amen!

Dear Father, help and heal those of us who are hurting right now from being rejected. Help us not to hate those who have rejected us but to love and forgive them whether or not you want us to be in their lives. Even when you call us to walk away from them, or them from us, no matter what role they do or don’t play anymore in our lives, oh Lord, help us to be free from any anger, bitterness, vengeance, self-pity, etc. Help us to receive and walk in YOUR LOVE. Thank you for YOUR LOVE. Thank you for healing us! Thank you for helping us! Thank you for graciously allowing us through faith in you, dear Jesus, to be in your forever and ever presence, AMEN!

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” 1 John 3:1
