“I know what the enemy is trying to do,” I said aloud whether it was to my handicapped ministry doggies or to myself or to the Lord or to nobody at all I don’t know. I just felt compelled to say it. “He’s trying to get me to stop. He’s trying to get me to run. And I ain’t stopping. And I ain’t running!” I exclaimed.
I was having a rough morning for a variety of reasons. Details insignificant. But the Lord gave me wisdom. He showed me what was happening behind the scenes. Satan was trying to get me so upset and anxious and ultimately paralyzed with emotions that I would quit my ministry work and run quickly, frantically, and far from where the Lord had called me to be to do the work to which He had called me.
I knew what I needed to do. I needed to trust in the Lord, keep walking forward in my work for Him, and stand strong where He had sent me until He gave me further instructions. I needed to not react to the enemy. I needed to not react to my emotions. I needed to seek, trust, and follow the Lord!
Please do the same. Be victorious. Follow Jesus. No matter how hard the enemy comes against you. Live for the Lord! He will lead you forth!
Please Lord help your followers be faithful to you. Help us to stand strong when the enemy comes at us. Help us to recognize him when he comes at us so we’re not deceived. Help us to stand strong in faith and love and in faithfully lovingly reverently following you dear Lord. AMEN!
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:10-13
