When the Tears Come

“I don’t know how to do this part,” I told the Lord.

I was about to burst into a zillion tears. Some people like to cry and get it all out. I don’t like to cry. Not in public. Not in private. But sometimes I just can’t help myself.

“Yes you do,” the Holy Spirit of God immediately replied. “Come to me.”

Exactly what I needed to hear.

One of the most precious gifts in the world when it comes to tears, sadness, sorrow, grief, being overwhelmed, hurting, brokenness, dealing with trials, tribulations, and tragedies, etc., is that we can come to the Lord Jesus Christ and pour out our hearts to Him.

In exchange for pouring out our hearts and tears to God as we spend time in His presence, we can receive His love, comfort, mercy, tenderness, kindness, healing, goodness, sweet fellowship, nearness, wisdom, strength, and absolutely all else we need.

The greatest gift of all is not that we can come to Jesus.

The greatest of all blessings is Jesus Himself and a forever relationship with Him.

Hurting? Lost? Broken? Confused? Rejected? Abandoned? Abused? Don’t know where to go? What to do? How to go forward? Sad? Grieving? Etc.?

No matter what you have in your heart, dear friend, please, draw near to the Lord. Come into His presence. Pour out your heart unto the Lord! Amen!

“Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” Psalms 62:8 NKJV
