Your Hurting Heart

Some people hold their hurt to themselves for any number of reasons whether it be worrying about people’s reactions, shame, embarrassment, pride, denial of their hurt, bitterness, fear of being hurt even more, fear of letting people get close to them, growing up in a family that taught them not to talk about how they feel, etc. Some people run around to just about everyone pouring out their hurting hearts to get love, comfort, sympathy, and pity if they’re feeling sorry for themselves. Some fall somewhere in between. But this message isn’t about holding our hurting hearts to ourselves versus going to others with them. It’s about going to the Father in heaven and pouring out our hurting hearts to Him!

There is no greater love, comfort, and healing than that which the Lord has for His children, and I encourage you with every ounce of my heart if you haven’t already to learn to go to the Lord when you’re hurting. Cry to Him, cry out to Him, pour out your emotions to Him, pray to Him, talk to Him, seek Him, ask Him for help, tell Him how desperate you are, don’t hold anything back, cast everything in your heart upon Him, and rest and soak and bask and rejoice in His love for you.

God loves His children more than we can fathom, and in His amazing love for us He bestows upon us the indescribably wonderful blessing of our being able to pour out our hearts to Him any time day or night and to receive His tender loving mercy, kindness, compassion, healing, wisdom, promises, direction, graciousness, understanding, grace, hope, strength, power, lordship, friendship, and fellowship. And His correction, chastening, and leading to repentance also as sometimes we’re so focused on our hurting hearts we neglect to see where we have our own wrongdoing to repent of and correct.

Cry out to the Lord, friend, cry out!

Oh, Father, thank you for this message I so much needed and for entrusting me with sharing it with others. Please bring every person to this message, or this message to every person, oh Lord, you desire. May they henceforth come to you whenever they are hurt, whenever they are overwhelmed, whenever they grieve, whenever their hearts are in need of your love, grace, mercy, and comfort. May they pour out their hearts to you whenever they need, and may you show them oh God your amazingly awesomely magnificent love, grace, mercy, kindness, compassion, and healing, oh my Lord! Amen!
