If God gave each of us a piece of paper early in life and told us to write down everything we wanted our life story to be, to write down every dream, desire, wish, and want, to squeeze it all onto one page as best we were able, to map out our lives exactly the way we wanted and expected them to turn out, I wonder how many of us would write down exactly what God desires and has planned for our lives. What if we could put down our highest hopes for how our life’s story will unfold, turn the paper in to God, and watch everything come to pass according to our will? I can’t imagine. Can you?
My life has turned out so exceedingly different than I had ever hoped for and desired. But I wouldn’t change my life story for anything in the world. I am living the life at long last God planned for me all along. And though it’s so incredibly hard on my flesh to not have gotten most of what I wanted and to have lost so much of what I did want and did get, I wouldn’t give up the plan God has had for my life all along for anything.
I am thankful beyond measure because God’s plan is absolutely always the very best! My life story now that I have finally stopped living for me and at long last am living for God is the one He has chosen for me. I am humbled, blessed, and privileged – and so unbelievably thankful – that God is bringing to pass His will for my life. I am finally surrendered to Him as I should have been all along. I am so thankful for His will for me!
Are you fully surrendered to God and His will for your life? Are you living out the life story God created you to have? If not, will you surrender all to the Lord now? And will you choose to be THANKFUL for the plan and purpose God has for your life?
“For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;” Colossians 1:9-11 KJV
