Your Mouth Was Made for This

Your mouth wasn’t made for negativity. Not for complaining. Not for self-pity, hatred, or vengeance. Not for bitterness, gossip, slander, meanness, threatening, nastiness. Nor for control, bragging, and manipulation. Not to tear people down to their faces or behind their backs. Not for arguing, jealousy, and self-centeredness. Not for greed and spewing out hatred and prejudice. Not for whining and groaning. Your mouth was not made to grieve God not in any way, shape, or form. Nor was it made to hurt others not in any way whatsoever. Your mouth was not made for sin. Your mouth was made for this.

To love the Lord with all your heart and to love others as yourself. To bring praise, honor, thanksgiving, and glory to God almighty. To sing to God. To adore God. To love people. To tell the world Jesus Christ is Lord and how to have a forever relationship with Him. To encourage people. To help people. To bless God and to bless people. To be positive not negative. To declare God’s goodness.

Your mouth was meant for goodness not badness. Your mouth was made by God to glorify God. Your mouth was made to worship the Lord. And to praise Him – continually. Your mouth was made for goodness. For godliness. Holiness. Righteousness. Your mouth was made by Jesus for Jesus. Your mouth was made by Him for others. Your mouth was made to pour out your heart to God, to pray to God, to seek God, to ask for help from God and others and to thank the Lord and others in receiving help.

Your mouth was made for good only. Your mouth was made to be used by God in whatever way He desires to use your mouth. Your mouth was made to rejoice in God. Your mouth, your heart, your life, all of it was created to be His. All for good. Your mouth was made for repentance when you do wrong. Your mouth was not made for the devil and for selfish self-centered self. Your mouth was made to magnify God forevermore.

I confess to you I have spent far too much of my life using my mouth wrongly, sinfully, in an ungodly, unrighteous, unholy way. I am learning day by day to use my mouth for God’s glory. And to repent when I fall short of this.

Please will you join me in this? Let our mouths pour forth love, praise, honor, and glory to the Lord forever and love, goodness, and godliness to others, AMEN!
