Your To-Do List
“But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.” Luke 11:28
Whose voice are you hearing when you make your daily to-do list? Following Jesus is about seeking, hearing, and following God’s voice as He speaks to us in the Bible and to our hearts which will always be in line with His Word when it’s truly His voice. Whose voice we hear as we open wide our hearts and ears in living our daily lives is critical. We need to be discerning; our flesh can be LOUD in its me-centered ways, and the DEVIL is ALWAYS on the prowl (1 Peter 5:8) trying to drive us away from God.
What a wake-up call I got when God told me I had been listening to the devil instead of to Him. After a mighty fall into temper and self-condemnation, overwhelmed with God’s awesome mercy after I repented, I heard the Lord remind me how vital it is to seek, hear, and follow HIS voice. I am compelled to share His words to me with the belief herein may lie a message for you or someone you know – and at the least a reminder to seek and follow HIM.
“The pressure you have put on yourself is causing you to be unable to bring me honor because you are so caught up in trying to measure up to the impossible. I ask that you do not continue to place this pressure on yourself. You will fall, you will make mistakes, you will do wrong, and to put this pressure on yourself means that you will stay under condemnation and continue to set yourself up for more. Stop listening to the enemy and listen to me. I love you, I am here to lead you, come back to my Word, and to understanding my mercy is enough for you. Walk in my peace, walk in my Word, walk in my Truth, walk from one moment to the next as I lead you in my love.”
