Your Vision for Your Life
The Lord gave me a little picture in my heart with a big message for a beautiful young friend of mine whom I dearly love. It was only after I called her to share it with her that I realized the message is one many of us need to hear, comprehend, and heed if we have not already.
In the picture, I saw my sweet friend taking her vision for her life and laying it down at the feet of Jesus and saying to Him, “I love you, Lord. Whatever you want.”
My friend was surrendering her hopes, plans, dreams, and vision for her life to the Lord and humbly willing to receive and pursue instead His plans for her life. She was willing to do whatever He wanted.
Is there a message in this for you, friend? When we repent and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, our life now belongs to Him. He is Lord of our lives. We need to seek and find His vision, plans, and purpose for our lives and desire and strive to fulfill His will for us rather than our own.
Have you laid down your vision for your life at the feet of Jesus and told Him you are willing to do whatever His will for your life is? If not, may now the time! If you already have, may you deepen your commitment to Him! May we live wholly for the Lord!
Lord, help us to turn our dreams over to you, to surrender our visions to you, to give up our plans and agendas when they don’t line up with your will for us. Cause us to seek you, to seek your will for us, and help us to fulfill your plans for our lives. Show us your glory, Lord, as you lead us on the paths you set before us. Show us your love, and help us to show you our love for you, and walk with us and we with you that we may feel your presence and nearness and experience your wonderful fellowship as we strive to replace our own vision with the one you have designed for each of us. In the name of Jesus, dear Father, AMEN!
“and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” 2 Cor. 5:15
