BLESSING #61……….

“My eyes are awake through the night watches,
That I may meditate on Your word.” Psalm 119:148……..

Ever have trouble sleeping? Oh, how I do! Night after night, in fact. I’m not sure I’ve slept through the night in years. I wake up a zillion times nightly, it seems, and sometimes I’m up for hours. I’m often exhausted by morning! I could see this as awful, or I could be thankful for a safe place to sleep indoors, for heat and AC, that my work schedule is flexible so I can rest if needed during the day, and for this. The middle of the night is an AWESOME OPPORTUNITY to spend time alone with the Lord Jesus Christ! To be loved by Him, to love Him, to commune with Him, to pray to the Lord, to listen for the Lord’s voice, and to MEDITATE ON HIS WORD! To read the Bible and to think about the Bible. What can seem to be a curse of losing sleep night after night can be a wonderful blessing! The middle of the night for many people is our most uninterrupted time with the least amount of distractions. Uninterrupted time that can be devoted to Christ Jesus who is Lord forevermore!

365 BLESSINGS is a devotional book the Lord has led me to publish piece by piece even as I’m writing it rather than waiting until it’s in print to share it. Please join me & be blessed as I write my latest book…!
