I am walking through a grueling season, and one of great change. So I reached back for the familiar rather than trust God to walk forward to the new land He calls me to. Second, in my fallen state, I see the glory of the Lord. He stretches out His hand to me, He shows me the everlasting love and mercy in His heart, and He beckons. “Oh ye of little faith,” He says in His gentle way. “Stand. Arise. Come. There is no reason to stay where you are. My Son paid the price for your fall. He also paid the price for the one who caused your pain. Let us go forward. Receive my mercy. It is time to move on. Take my hand. I love you. Receive me. Believe. Have faith in me. The Son shines. Let us walk forward into the light.” My reply is simple. “Father, forgive me for I have sinned once more. Cleanse me. And lead me forward into your light. In your Son’s name. Amen.”
