A Warning About LOVE

0

“The enemy [the devil]is trying to get you not to love,” the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart simply and powerfully.

It makes so much sense, doesn’t it? God’s greatest commands are to love Him with all our hearts and to love others as ourselves. The devil wants us to break God’s commands. The devil wants us to hurt God by not loving Him and to hurt others by not loving them. The devil wants Jesus’ followers to fail in loving so people will not see Jesus in and through us and not be drawn to the Lord through us. The devil wants us not to love because without love we are nothing.

God’s warning to me that day made me resolved more than ever to be filled with the Holy Spirit of God and through Him to love, love, and love.

Be resolved to obey God’s greatest commands! Don’t let the devil stop you from going forth with the love of Christ for the glory of Christ, hallelujah, AMEN!

“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:” Mark 12:30-32 KJV

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity [“love” in some Bible translations], I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-2 KJV
