An Unbelievable Testimony
If I hadn’t witnessed this myself, it would be very hard to believe. But God richly blessed me with giving me two precious friends who both had major cancer at the same time. They lived very far apart, but He led me to introduce them by phone and email. They became good friends and supported each other through unimaginable challenges as the cancer sought to destroy their lives. They both were strong believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and they both had amazing peace through their trials as they knew they would survive the cancer and have more time on earth with God with them here or they would go to heaven and be with God there.
Their battles with cancer ended the same. They both died. And what stood out to me more than anything was the amazing love, joy, and THANKSGIVING they had all the way until the end! I never heard them complain. I never heard them angry at God. They were humbly and simply thankful to God for being their God, Lord, King, and Savior, and for all His blessings throughout their lives. I am so humbled. I am known to moan and groan and be self-pitying over the smallest of my matters. I have such a long, long way to go and grow when it comes to Thanksgiving. And I am resolved to do just that. To continue to grow in love, humility, joy, and Thanksgiving. Oh, let us grow!
