“I have so much to do! I don’t even know where to begin.” I can’t remember if I thought essentially those words or spoke them aloud. But the message is clear. Totally overwhelmed. Way too much to do. Where would I start? Surely I would get crushed under the weight of it all. I would probably end up running in a million different directions in a virtual panic – and good excitement too. In a flurry of activity, oh, my, where to begin? How to deal with it all?
Ever felt this way? No sooner than those words had come than the right, and perfect, answer came. This reminder I now share with you.
When we’re feeling overloaded, overwhelmed, that we have way too much to do, that everything is just too much, that we don’t even know where to start, that surely we’ll never get it all done, that the mountain in front of is just too big, that we’ll never have enough strength, that we’re way too small, that we’re way too weary, that we’ll never make it through it all, etc., we should TURN TO THE LORD!
May this message be an encouragement to all who come upon it to turn from your sins, believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and in His death and resurrection, turn to God and His ways, ask for and be filled with His Holy Spirit, put your trust in Him, pray to Him, cry out to Him, seek Him, read the Bible, spend time in His presence, love Him, adore Him, praise Him, worship Him, cast your cares upon Him, rest in Him, abide in Him, look to Him, put your hope and expectation in Him, rejoice in Him, celebrate Him, listen for the voice of His Spirit speaking to your hearts in line with His Word, ask for and receive all you need including forgiveness, grace, strength, and provision, and be thankful for His amazing love and gracious mercy and glorious presence, oh Hallelujah, AMEN!
