Inside Your Mind

If there is any place in my life that needs constant cleansing, growth, refining, purification, and transformation, it’s my mind! I have such a very long history of negativity, complaining, whining, self-pity, criticism, pride, judgment, condemnation, discouragement, self-centeredness, etc. it’s a wonder the Lord ever picked someone like me to start a ministry and proclaim Him to the world! God has His work cut out for Him to say the least, and I might say He is doing an amazing work in me considering how He is continually teaching, testing, and growing me.

You know, I believe with all my heart that Thanksgiving to God should not simply be pouring out of our mouths and ever evident in our actions. I believe Thanksgiving should fill our minds. I believe God’s people should be people of faith and love without a doubt – and people of Thanksgiving. Right down to our thoughts. God has been teaching me over the years to get rid of the negativity when I fall into it and to replace the wrong thoughts with godly ones. With good ones. Righteous ones. God-honoring ones. To very much include thoughts that show forth Thanksgiving to God. Are your thoughts filled with Thanksgiving?

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” 2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV
