Angry? Sad? Hurt? Joyful? Happy? Scared? Worried? Doubting? Bitter? Feeling vengeful? Depressed? Anxiety attacks? Grieving? Irritated? Discouraged? Elated? Passionate? Lonely? One thing I have learned to do with emotions that has been such an exceeding blessing from God is to take all of my emotions to Him. To pour out my heart to Him. ALL of my heart. No matter my feelings. To bring them all to Him. To commune with Him. To spend time alone in His presence. To tell Him how I feel. To cast ALL my feelings upon Him. To repent of any thoughts, feelings, words, and actions displeasing to Him. And with ALL my feelings, to give them ALL to Him. I am His child. I am His servant. I am His follower.
I learn day by day to put my trust in Him and to put my heart in His blessed almighty powerful beautiful sovereign hands. And even as I do this, I draw closer to Him and He draws closer to me. And He brings me His love, hope, mercy, forgiveness, grace, comfort, healing, wisdom, direction, friendship, fellowship, more and more intimacy with Him, as He grows me and draws me ever closer to Himself.
Please, friend, bring your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ. And watch when you turn from your sins, believe in Him as Lord and in His death and resurrection, turning your life over to God and His ways, receiving His forgiveness and the promise of forever with Him, His Holy Spirit coming to live inside you, learning to follow Him day by day, watch what the Lord will do when you surrender your heart and life utterly to Him. Oh, bring your heart to the Lord, AMEN!
“Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah” Psalms 62:8 NKJV
