Choose to Rejoice

If there is anything I have learned about rejoicing it is this. God in the Bible calls us to rejoice CONTINUALLY, the way to rejoice CONTINUALLY is to REJOICE in the Lord and in our relationship with Him and His amazingness and endless goodness and blessings, rejoicing is a CHOICE, no matter the world’s woes and our personal struggles we can REJOICE when we turn our hearts and minds to the Lord and the Bible and His countless blessings, and we SHOULD CHOOSE TO REJOICE – ALWAYS!

Rest assured I can fall into negativity, complaining, moaning, griping, groaning, discouragement, downheartedness, heavy sorrow, depressing thoughts, self-pity, and spiraling downhill mentally and emotionally in a heartbeat – and getting stuck there! I have been prone to this my whole life. It feels absolutely awful, and when I’m in it I am far away from obeying God’s greatest commands to love Him with all my heart and to love others as myself. Why? Because I am consumed with self and can’t see past me and my dark thoughts and burdensome emotions!

But God in His awesome love and mercy reminds me on a regular basis to get rid of the heaviness, to repent of any and all sin in my heart, words, and actions, to turn to Him and the Bible, and to REJOICE IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!

Given the state of the world right now, and given how many people are suffering to one degree or another, I can’t think of a better time for us all to make a conscious effort each and every day to be totally devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ, to REJOICE IN THE LORD each and every day, and to strive day in and day out to bring love, praise, pleasure, honor, adoration, worship, obedience, service, and glory to the Lord most high now and forevermore, HALLELUJAH, oh rejoice, rejoice, rejoice, rejoice, AMEN! Praise the Lord! To the Lord be the glory AMEN!

“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!Philippians 4:4 NKJV

“This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalms 118:24 NKJV

I strongly encourage you as you read the Bible to take note of the enormous number of references to JOY and REJOICING!
