The very most important aspect of Thanksgiving to God is that God be praised and thanked for His amazingness and awesomeness and wonderfulness and wondrousness and gloriousness, but there is something else that happens when we express to God our thankfulness in my experience anyway. There is such great joy in my heart, such passionate rejoicing, such great love and adoration I feel, such a feeling of blessedness when I take the time to thank the Lord! Might sound funny, but it’s true. I am thankful for Thanksgiving to the Lord. Are you? Try praising the Lord and see what happens! Praise Him for the purpose of thanking and blessing Him, not for selfish gain. But watch what happens in your heart and countenance when you praise, praise, praise the Lord in Thanksgiving and with great, great love for Him!

“Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.” Psalms 150:1-6 KJV
