When I asked the Lord this morning if He had a message He wanted to give the world, I believe I heard Him speak into my heart about change. How many of us are stuck in ways and places in our lives because we refuse to change? For someone who used to resist change as much as the next person, I have come to find it challenging yet refreshing, difficult yet rewarding, and enticing because of its ultimate end. Where does change lead me? Inevitably, when I change according to the Word of God, I end up closer to the love of my life. Jesus. What follows is the message I heard this morning. Perhaps it will prompt you to take a look at your own life to see where you might be holding back from changing according to the beckoning of the Lord….
It is time that you understand nothing will change until you allow it to. Stop standing in my way. When you get out of my way, you will start to see things will happen the way I intend them to have happen. Allow me to effect the change.
Do not give up on believing. This part is instrumental. Believing. This is where change begins – in believing I Am. I am who I say I Am.
I am Lord. Allow me to make the changes I desire. Give me your life as I have given you mine. Let us walk together.
The change I effect will bring a smile to your heart.
Rom 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
PRAYER: Dear Lord, I know I have stood in your way long enough. Please forgive me. You know what is best. I do not, yet I have stood in your way anyway. Please change in me what you desire – for your glory. You do not want me conformed to the world. You want me transformed by your Word. Please transform me according to the plans you have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
