The Lord spoke to me just now about yet another loved one who has laid heavily on my heart today. Could this message be for you, too, with the loved ones who lay heavily on your own heart? Ask the Lord if this is for you. If this message is for you also, please take it to heart. I know I must. I have spent far too long interfering. It is high time I rest, trusting, in Him. Here is the message I heard Him speak into my heart.

Why are you sad, sweet one? Do you not see that what I see is different than what you regard? You see what you watch, but I see what I know. You get caught up in outward appearances; I see man’s heart (1 Samuel 16:7). What needs to be changed is in my hands, not yours. Do not trouble yourself with understanding why things have not come about the way you wish that they would. Instead, keep your eyes focused on me and know that I know what needs to be done. Do not stop praying. Do not lose faith because of what you see. This is why I ask you to walk by faith. When you get caught up in the outward appearance, you believe things are impossible. I know what is possible. I want you to believe. I ask for your faith. Remember, this is what I require to please me. Believe. Do not lose heart because of the choices your loved one continues to make. Instead, take heart that I Am. I Am the one needed to turn everything around. This time, rather than get in the way with your human understanding and the actions you believe would change the person of whom we speak, stand strong and let me do what needs to be done. Believe. This is the word I give to you now. Believe. Stretch past the limits you have placed in your mind on what can be done. Remember I Am Lord. Let me be. Do not play my part. After all, this is all that you would do. You would play it only. Let me be Lord.

Please, Lord, help me to play my role. You are Lord. My job is to pray, and believe. Please help me to do this. I lay this heaviness on you, Lord. Please heal my unbelief, and help me to believe. You are sovereign. You not only have the answer. You are the answer. And even when things don’t turn out as I desire, and the people I love don’t change as I so desperately want, you still are sovereign. You still are Lord. And still I love you. Forever.

1Sa 16:7  “But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.”
