One day the Holy Spirit brought to light in my heart the words, AT ALL TIMES. How so? He wanted me to see there are two things we should be doing at ALL times. In other words, ALL the time. In plain English, continually. Not once in a while when we feel like it. Not just when we’re in the mood. Not just when life is easy. Not just when it is on our minds. Not just when someone reminds us. Not just when we’re in a church building. Not contingent on our circumstances, our thoughts, our feelings, etc. We should be doing this on an ongoing basis. Of what do I write? Please read these verses.
“Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah” Psalm 62:8
“I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1
The Lord is utterly clear! We are to TRUST HIM and to BLESS HIM (i.e. speak highly of and praise Him) how often? AT ALL TIMES. Continually! In an ongoing manner! Day after day and forevermore!
Now I don’t know about you, but I am deeply humbled in considering these verses. And deeply convicted by God. That I have a long way to go in this.
Imagine what our hearts, words, and actions would look like if we lived in a perpetual state of trusting and blessing and praising God! This is what our lives are supposed to be like and look like!
Let us examine our hearts and lives. Are you and I trusting and blessing and praising God on an ongoing basis? Or do we have some growing to do in this?
Please strive with me daily to make trusting God and blessing and praising God something we do on a continual basis. Hallelujah!
Trust in the Lord, friend! Bless the Lord, friend! Praise the Lord, friend. Oh, hallelujah, glory be to the Lord, AMEN!
