Don’t Leave Before It’s Time

If the Lord has made clear to you that He is leading you to something new, someone new, and/or somewhere new, DO NOT LEAVE WHERE YOU ARE NOW BEFORE IT IS TIME. Stay where you are until you know the Lord has told you to go. Do not leave too soon. Do not leave before it is God’s time. Seek Him until you know HIS WILL and until you know HIS TIME. He will give you the wisdom you need in the Bible, by His Spirit speaking directly to your heart in line with His Word who lives inside His followers, and/or with the help of godly counsel from His followers who are strongly grounded in the Bible, and in any other manner if He so chooses. He makes His will known to those who have entrusted their lives to Him. We need to seek Him, wait on Him, hear Him, and obey Him.

If you leave where you currently are in life before it’s God’s time, you will miss whatever reason(s) and purpose He has for you to stay where you are until it is HIS TIME to go.  And you may get to where He is sending you before He has His plan for you there fully in place.

Countless times in the Bible, the Lord tells His followers WHERE TO GO and WHEN TO GO. Those who obey the Lord are those who GET UP AND GO in HIS TIME for HIS GLORY.

Please do the same. Seek the Lord, wait on the Lord, and go in the strength of the Lord when He says go to wherever or whomever He is sending you.

God’s will. God’s timing. God’s glory. Yes, all for the glory of Christ, AMEN!

Father God in amazing heaven, help us all to seek you, to wait on you, to be faithful to you, to trust you, to hear you, to make sure we are hearing you and not the devil, world, or the flesh, and help us to obey you. Help us to do what YOU WANT in YOUR TIME for YOUR GLORY. Help us with this, Lord, and help us deny our flesh which so very often wants to go off in its own selfish direction. Help us to follow not the world, not the devil, not the flesh, but you, dear Lord. AMEN!

Friend, the apostle Philip was called by God to go somewhere. He obeyed – IN GOD’S TIME. The result was the Lord led him to a man who was reading scriptures and needed help understanding so he could be saved from God’s wrath and be given everlasting life with the Lord. Philip obeyed God according to GOD’S WILL and according to GOD’S TIME. Look what the Lord did through Philip’s obedience timing included! Please read the full story and note GOD’S TIMING! And watch how the Lord also had HIS PERFECT TIMING for Philip to move on and go where the Lord would send Him next!

“Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is desert. So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.” So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him. The place in the Scripture which he read was this: “HE WAS LED AS A SHEEP TO THE SLAUGHTER; AND AS A LAMB BEFORE ITS SHEARER IS SILENT, SO HE OPENED NOT HIS MOUTH. IN HIS HUMILIATION HIS JUSTICE WAS TAKEN AWAY, AND WHO WILL DECLARE HIS GENERATION? FOR HIS LIFE IS TAKEN FROM THE EARTH.” So the eunuch answered Philip and said, “I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?” Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.” Acts 8:26-39
