God Does Know What You Need!

When the Lord led a beautiful friend to send me a text message with the following Bible verse, His Holy Spirit brought to my attention four lies I have believed.

“…For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.” Matthew 6:8 NKJV

The lies? That He does not fully love and care about me, that He does not hear all my prayers, that He will not fully provide for me, and that He does not really know what I need not especially before I pray and even sometimes after.

Wow, huh? I am a totally devoted follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and read the Bible daily and pray continually and seek the Lord ongoingly. But deep in my heart were all these untruths. No matter how devoted to Jesus we are, there is always more growing in our relationship with God to do!

I wonder if you can relate to any of this?

Friend, the Bible is truth. It is God’s Word. No matter what we believe, think, or feel, or what others say, or what the devil tries to convince us of, God gets the final say. And truth is He does love and care about us, He does hear our prayers, He does know our needs before we ask, and He will provide for us when we live in obedience to Him.

If you have been believing any of the lies I have, or believing anything at all that runs contrary to the truth of the Bible, cast it all away. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Believe the Bible. And live by it!

God knows what you need, friend. Trust Him and cry out to Him in prayer! Amen!
