God’s Glory Not Ours

The Lord tells us to use the gifts He gives us to serve one another, and He brings to light in His Word as you will find in the verses below that we are to minister to [serve]one another with THE ABILITY HE GIVES US. Why does He do it this way? So that THE GLORY GOES TO GOD. Not to us!

Please be careful to humble yourself before God and to give Him the honor, glory, and praise when you love and serve others. This world teaches us to pridefully puff ourselves up and pat ourselves on the back and strive for attention, praise, honors, awards, and rewards. Not so according to God’s ways. Loving and serving others is a wonderful opportunity when people speak well of us concerning the work that we do to GIVE GOD THE GLORY! Amen!

Father, forgive us all me most especially for ever taking one iota of praise and glory that belongs to you. Remind us to humble ourselves, Father, for sadly we as humans tend to be prideful if we’re not careful. Lord, truly, you deserve every ounce of praise, honor, and glory for every single good thing on this earth. Thank you, oh Lord, AMEN!

“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:10-11
