Some people seem to breeze through life. I don’t. Never have. I am a struggler, and my struggles are daily. If it were not for the Lord Jesus Christ, I would have given up long ago. If it were not for the Lord, I wouldn’t have the love, peace, hope, joy, passion, and sense of purpose I have deep inside me today despite my struggles. If you knew how hard it is for me to do the easiest things in life, how very much of my life involves struggle and challenge, you might be amazed as I am the Lord has entrusted me with a beautiful, bountiful, growing international ministry for Him through which countless lives are reached on an ongoing basis. What is amazing is the Lord God almighty by His Holy Spirit through His love, grace, mercy, truth, strength, and power can do anything in and through anyone for His awesomely wonderfully splendorous glory! I believe He chooses people like me with such extreme stories and struggles to make ultra clear that THE LORD GETS EVERY SINGLE OUNCE OF GLORY for every ounce of love and good in and through my life! Praise, praise, praise the Lord!
“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.” 1 Corinthians 1:27-29
Please enjoy today’s TWO MESSAGES with these titles below:
The Lord one day gave me the words, “glory giver.” Not long afterward, He gave me the words, “glory seekers.” He gave me a message about my friend the glory giver and how we should strive to ever give Him glory. Then He gave me this verse below and this message about glory seekers. Glory givers continually seek opportunities to give God the glory and do so. Glory seekers seek to bring and give glory to themselves not God. The focus is not on the Lord as it should be for everything good including the greatest blessing of all the Lord Himself. The focus is on self where the focus should not be.
Please consider the psalmist’s words:
“Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.” Psalms 115:1
We are NOT to seek glory for ourselves!
But let’s be honest. Are we glory seekers? Do we sometimes praise ourselves? Do we ever show off? Do we want pats on the back, attention, validation, affirmation, etc., whereby we go chasing after glory from people? Do we ever give ourselves credit instead of glory to God? Do we boast of ourselves? Are we pridefully seeking glory in any area of our lives instead of striving to give glory to the Lord? Oh, we must repent of this!
May we humble ourselves! May we get rid of every ounce of pride from our hearts and lives whenever pride rears its despicable head! May we not be glory seekers. May we be glory givers. Glory – all glory – always – to the Lord! Amen!
“Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.” Psalms 57:11
I am strongly compelled in my love for and fear of the Lord to rid myself of every prideful word, thought, and action, to humble myself before the Lord continually, and to be a glory seeker. Will you join me, friend?
I was in my car at a stoplight when the Holy Spirit led me to turn to the last verse of Ephesians 6 in the Bible. I opened the Bible I keep on my car dashboard and tried to get to the verse quickly before the light turned green. I made it in time. The Holy Spirit blessed me with the verse – and inspired and compelled me to write and share a message with you on it.
“Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. To the Ephesians written from Rome, by Tychicus.” Ephesians 6:24
THE LORD CALLS US TO LOVE HIM IN SINCERITY. In other words, IN TRUTH. The life of a good and faithful servant of Christ is about TRUE LOVE for the Lord and TRUE LOVE for others.
When it comes to TRUE LOVE for the Lord, we need to consider what Jesus has to say about those who truly love Him. True love for the Lord involves obedience! Please read the verses below and see!
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15
“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” John 14:23
“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” 1 John 5:3
Friend, let us love the Lord with all our hearts – IN SINCERITY. In our TRUE LOVE for the Lord, may we obey Him! When we fall short, let us repent quickly and carry on following the Lord as His good and faithful servants who show Him TRUE LOVE with the obedience that goes hand in hand with TRUE LOVE for Him! Amen!
