I Am So Tired of Bad News!

I am so tired of bad news! I can barely keep up with it. It’s not always my own bad news. Rest assured I have had decades of seemingly relentless struggles, trials, tragedies, tribulations. But everywhere I turn it seems people have bad news to share.

I don’t watch  television and only look at the news very briefly online, but people are constantly telling me about bad stuff happening. I know I am not alone in terms of being tired of it all. And I am writing this not to moan and groan about all the bad news and to bring you down, but to share with you the most wonderful good news and hope in the universe and to tell you how I’ve learned to be up and positive and hopeful and joyful and deeply satisfied even when the world is filled with ever more bad news.

The BEST NEWS IN THE UNIVERSE is that God almighty has provided a way for us to  have a personal intimate wonderfully glorious totally fulfilling relationship with Him on this earth and FOREVER IN HEAVEN where there will not be a single ounce of bad news not ever. And the way to be up and positive and hopeful and joyful and deeply satisfied even when the world is filled with ever more bad news is TO FOCUS ON THE LORD AND THE BIBLE AND TO ABIDE IN HIM AND FULFILL HIS WILL FOR OUR LIVES.

In a nutshell, everything bad in this world is a result of sin that separates us from God and means all humans are under the curse for our sins of God’s wrath, death, hell, and the lake of fire. But God loved us so much He sent His only Son Jesus to live a perfect life on earth then to die on the cross to pay our sin penalty and to be raised from the dead. So all who turn from our sins, believe in Jesus as Lord and in His death and resurrection, truly turning our lives over to God and His ways, are forgiven, promised forever life with God, and have the Holy Spirit come live inside us.

Friend, NO MATTER HOW MUCH BAD NEWS WE HAVE IN THIS WORLD, we can surrender our lives to the Lord and learn to ABIDE IN HIM. Abide? Trust in Him, rest in Him, rejoice in Him, find comfort in Him, have hope in Him, fellowship with Him, commune with Him, praise and worship Him, serve and adore Him, sing to Him, enjoy His company, find wisdom in Him, glorify Him, have the best friendship ever with Him, find peace in Him, receive and experience His magnificent love, put our expectation in Him, look to Him, pray to Him, seek Him, hear Him, and follow Him.

Even as I write this message, my heart has lifted up. My hope has increased. My joy has surged. And I am so thankful, so very, very thankful, to encourage you to take your eyes off all the bad in this world and set your heart on the Lord and live day and night to love and glorify Him now and forevermore, AMEN! Oh, hallelujah! Not just good news. The best news! The Lord Jesus Christ – forever and ever GOD! Amen!
