This Is Satan Taunting You

This is Satan taunting you. The words came strongly and clearly in my heart as I drove down the highway early one morning. The Holy Spirit was warning me. I was about to take the bait. Satan was coming after me early to wreck my day. The devil loves to aim fiery darts at us, tempt us with anything and everything, attack us from any and all sides, go all out in his mission to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and on top of it all disguise himself so we don’t recognize him and take the bait he dangles tauntingly in front of us.

I was thinking about a whole bunch of stuff and at the cusp of getting pretty riled up and upset. But God in His love and graciousness stepped in to warn me.

By God’s grace, I made the right decision. I chose not to fall for the devil’s taunts and temptations. Yet I knew the devil wasn’t done with me. He would come back with further attempts to wreck my relationship with God and get me off course of life and ministry. I knew what I would need to do each and every time the devil would come my way. The same thing we all need to do. Submit ourselves to God, resist the devil, and draw near ever nearer to God and to His Word. Please keep your eyes, ears, and heart wide open to God warning you when the devil is coming at you, and please surrender all to the Lord and resist Satan in the strength of Christ for the glory of Christ, Hallelujah, AMEN!

Satan can taunt us all he wants, but Jesus’ followers can rest assured we can have victory in and through the Lord!

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.1 Peter 5:8-9 KJV

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.James 4:7-8 KJV

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.Ephesians 6:10-20 KJV
