Dear friend, ……..

I was doing something one morning to make myself feel safe in a certain way when I sensed the presence of the Lord and His desire to speak to my heart. I believe He wanted to remind me that He is my safety, and that no matter what measures I take to feel safe, my true and ultimate safety is in the Lord Jesus Christ. But I sensed He had more to say. ………

I believe the Lord wanted me to know that it grieves Him that there are women all around the world who don’t feel safe because of what men have done to them and what men have done to others. I really don’t believe any of us humans can fathom the heights and depths and breadth of His love, mercy, care, compassion, healing and comfort for those whether men, women, or children who have been hurt, harmed, devastated, wounded, broken, and scarred at the hands of others caught up in sin.

I finished up my little human effort at making myself feel safe, but the real blessing was in being reminded of the Lord’s amazing, amazing, amazing everlasting love and mercy.

If you have been wounded by another, I pray you will look to the Lord Jesus Christ for His indescribably wonderful care, kindness, comfort, healing, hope, peace, and forever love.

Love & blessings,

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.” 2 Cor. 1:3-5
