My Bad Attitude

“Forgive my bad attitude!” I prayed to God.

I could give you a list of reasons why I had a bad attitude that morning. Maybe then you would tell me I deserved to have a bad attitude. Wouldn’t matter what you think and tell me, though. Nor did it matter all my years of justifying and excusing my bad moods and bad attitudes and bad thoughts and bad words and bad actions. Some of us do a good job of sinning and coming up with a zillion excuses. But do you think our bad attitudes let alone our bad anything and our zillion excuses please the Lord? Most assuredly not!

Friend, our bad anything and everything – bad attitudes included – need to go. So do the excuses!

How can we love and serve the Lord with all our hearts with a bad attitude? We can’t! How can we be His good and faithful servants with a bad attitude, with bad this and bad that, and with our zillion excuses and a refusal to repent? We can’t!

Need to repent? Humble yourself before the Lord, be sorry for your wrongdoing, your wrong attitude, your wrong this or that, your excuses, your refusal to repent, be sorry for it all. Seek and receive His forgiveness and carry on – faithfully loving and serving Him with ALL your heart! AMEN!

I have had a relatively challenging life – to this very day – and have often used this as an excuse for my bad attitudes and bad moods, my self-pity and moaning and groaning, my complaining and outright negativity not to mention plenty of other sins. There is NO excuse for sin, friend, and I am learning day by day to repent when I fall into any of this – and to love, praise, obey, serve, bless, honor, and glorify the Lord instead! Please join me in doing the same!
