My Big RV Vision

0
After being on the road for Jesus full-time with my beloved handicapped ministry dogs for over three years, I saw an RV motor home which had one huge word on it that caught my attention. VISION. When the Lord first made known to me His will that He wanted me to sell my little house in coastal South Carolina, give away most everything, and hit the road full time for Him and ministry, I excitedly came up with a VISION very quickly. And I just about convinced myself for some time that MY VISION was HIS VISION. I would get myself an RV, pack up the dogs and our stuff, and off we would go! I spent a great deal of time researching MY VISION to make sure I would get the best RV and that everything would fall into place just as I thought it should. But therein lay the problem.

MY VISION was NOT HIS VISION. It was mine! Just as He had revealed His will to me regarding going out on the road full-time for Him, He then made known the RV was NOT His vision for me and this ministry at least for my few years on the road for Him. So I did what the Lord has taken great love, time, patience, and care to teach me over the years. I LET GO OF MY VISION and CHOSE HIS INSTEAD. I LET GO of MY DREAM and CHOSE HIS INSTEAD. I put my trust in Him, knowing He knows what is best, and CHOSE HIS WILL instead of mine. The results over the years of learning to STRIVE TO FULFILL HIS WILL FOR ME instead of MY WILL FOR ME have been astonishingly beautiful and wonderful.

He has brought me into an ever deeper and more fulfilling relationship with Himself, He has transformed me into the woman of God He created me to be, He has made me more and more like Himself as He grows me in His image, and He has used me mightily in my ministry work to reach people worldwide to bring glory to His name. He has done all of this NOT through my VISION but through HIS VISION. Through HIS WILL. Not for me. FOR HIM!

Friend, it’s not easy to give up OUR VISION for our lives, is it? It can be extraordinarily hard, in fact. But rest assured humbling ourselves and yielding ourselves fully to the lordship and sovereignty of the Lord God almighty and His will, VISION, plan and purpose for our lives is not only the right way to live. It’s the most exceedingly rewarding!

Surrender yourself wholly and forever to the Lord, my friend!

Father, help us to discern your VISION for our lives. Help us to let go of ours when it doesn’t line up with yours. Help us to live according to your plan and purpose for our lives. Give us the strength, dear Father, to follow you wholly and forevermore, AMEN!

“I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.”” Psalm 40:8
