“I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing to You among the nations.” Psalm 57:9
“Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!” 1 Chronicles 16:8
God doesn’t just want His followers to praise Him in private. Nor does He want His followers to merely talk about Him with people we’re close to who we know want to talk about Him with us. Who we know won’t hurt us or tease us or reject us or hate us or persecute us because we talk about Him and praise Him in public. He wants us to talk about Him and praise Him near and far, with any and all, as He so leads us, no matter the cost, no matter how people respond to us!
Please consider these verses.
“For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”” Mark 8:38
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” Romans 1:16
I encourage you with all my heart to never hold back praising the Lord and talking about Him in public no matter what people say or do in response. Don’t fear people. Fear God. Love, praise, and worship Him and talk about Him with all your heart in private and in public no matter the cost.
I encourage you to examine your heart and life to see if perhaps you have been holding back from talking about and praising the Lord in front of others. Seek the Lord in prayer, read what He tells us in the Bible about praising and talking about Him, and go forth bringing honor, praise, and glory to the Lord with your heart and mouth on a continual basis from this day forth!
“I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; Yes, I will praise Him among the multitude.” Psalm 109:30
“Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, Praise the name of the LORD!” Psalm 113:1
