The Secret to JOY

Rest assured I was one of the most JOY-less people in the whole wide world in my estimate anyway – for DECADES. The reason – or my EXCUSE anyway – was simple. I had loads of life’s challenges. My life was anything but easy, fun, glad, and joyful. Who would rejoice with a life like mine? I lived in a virtually perpetual state of self-centeredness, depression, anxiety, drama, misery, self-pity, etc. Then the Lord taught me the secret to JOY.

JOY can and should be contingent on THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and a forever relationship with Him through repentance and faith in Him as Lord and our lives being totally devoted to Him. Joy should NOT be contingent on our life’s circumstances, our thoughts, our feelings, this world, etc., as all of this goes up and down, back and forth, is easy and hard, etc.

When I focus on Jesus and the Bible, I am JOYFUL. When I focus on my life’s trials, I am anything but. When I focus on my life’s circumstances and the world people included, I am on a rollercoaster ride with JOY coming and JOY doing a lot of going.

The secret to JOY can be summed up in a single word also beginning with J.

Please be encouraged reading the following verses, and please make it a practice if you have not already to do your best each and every day to believe in Jesus Christ as Lord, to follow Jesus Christ, to live for Jesus Christ as Lord, to focus on Jesus Christ as Lord, and to FIND JOY and REJOICE in Jesus Christ as Lord! Amen!
