I wanted to title this message “praying through walls,” but the words “reaching the unreachable” poured out instead. It’s all the same to me. I have a heart for the people around the world in the most dire straits. “The least of these,” per the Bible. So many of them are unreachable for different reasons.
Too far away to help, hearts too hard to listen, too rebellious to hear and turn to the Lord, being persecuted in isolation, seemingly too far gone to have any hope for them, too many of them to reach all of them, speaking languages I don’t know, in hospitals and nursing homes and prisons with no or limited visitors allowed, many, many of them neglected, abandoned, overlooked, and forgotten, and this is just the beginning of it all.
Walls, walls, walls, so many walls. Walls of separation and isolation and impossibility to go and help and tell them all about Jesus, talk to them about the Bible, encourage them, love, them, love them, oh, to love them, and help in ways they need help.
But not a single physical, emotional, or spiritual “wall” is too big, strong, powerful, and impossible for God to go through and to reach the unreachable. And there is one way every single human on this earth who believes in and follows the Lord Jesus Christ can help reach the unreachable.
Oh, let us pray! Continually! For every person worldwide the Lord puts on our hearts to pray for. No matter the walls. No matter the seeming impossibility of it all. Let us put our trust in the Lord most high and PRAY! Amen!
Please, from the bottom of my heart, I implore you, don’t pray religiously just before a meal and for your family before bed. Don’t just pray in church on Sundays or when a friend grabs your hand and says, “Let’s pray.” Don’t just pray when you have an all-out emergency.
May every human on this earth who professes Jesus Christ as Lord pray, pray, and pray on an ongoing basis according to the Lord as He places on our hearts whom to pray for, what to pray for and about, when to pray, oh, to God be the glory, AMEN!
“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” 1 John 5:13-15 KJV
“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint [“not lose heart” in some Bible versions]; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:1-8 KJV
