Say YES to God!

I was brushing my teeth or my hair, I can’t remember which, i.e. doing something totally trivial, when something flashed in my heart. A thought, that was all. Right? Wrong. I realized almost immediately the Holy Spirit had placed something in my heart. God’s will for me with something. And my response was immediate. No! Resistance! Rebellion! It didn’t last long. Maybe 10 seconds or so. Because now, at long last, I know better than this. I spent years calling myself a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and living for self rather than for Jesus. Things are different now.

I understand God’s truth. His followers are to follow Him. Loving and serving Him with all our hearts. Being totally devoted to Him. Living in obedience to Him and repenting along the way when we need to. Humbling ourselves before Him. Purifying ourselves continually. Living and breathing to love, worship, praise, adore, seek, pray to, hear through the Bible and by His Holy Spirit speaking to our hearts in line with the Bible, obey, experience, enjoy, abide in, serve, and glorify the Lord. So when it comes to the Lord making clear His will to us regarding absolutely anything, there is only one right way to respond.

Say YES to God! And no to the devil. No to the flesh. No to anyone who is trying to convince us to go against the will of God almighty. We are to say YES to the Lord. Without hesitation. With no debate, resistance, or rebellion. We are to submit ourselves utterly – and lovingly and reverently – TO THE LORD!

If you are clear God is telling you to do something, if you have prayed and heard Him, if you made sure what you have heard lines up with the Bible as it should, if you have sought godly counsel from others if and as the Lord has led you, if you know that you know that you know God has called you to do something, please do the right thing.

Say YES to God – and walk forth in loving, humble, blessed obedience to the Lord God almighty, Hallelujah, AMEN!

Obedience to God is more important than imaginable. We are to obey the Lord as far as His commands to us in the Bible are concerned. And we are to obey Him as His Holy Spirit who lives in His followers leads us personally in our individual lives. The following verses are a wonderful and strong reminder to live in obedience to our Father in heaven, AMEN!

“”But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”” Luke 6:46-49 NKJV
