SEE, HEAR, DO

The words came tumbling out of my heart as I lay slowly waking from a deep sleep in the dark of my little room, huddled under the covers. Even barely awake, I prayed for a loved one who has been in dire need of deliverance for as long as I can remember. SEE. HEAR. DO. God, help that person to SEE, HEAR, and DO. Could the words have been my own? Or the Lord’s? I don’t know. I only know perhaps they were meant for all of us. If only we would all take the time, love, and care each day to SEE the Lord, to HEAR His voice,  and to DO what He tells us to do.

Today, why not do just that? Lay aside your busyness and put your priorities in order. Seek the Lord first. Take the time, love, and care to SEE, HEAR, and DO what the Lord tells you. Spend time with the Lord in His Word, seek His face and voice throughout the day, and obey.

9 “But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God hasprepared for those who love him”– 10 these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.” 1 Cor. 2:9 ESV
