“Stop feeling sorry for yourself,” the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart. “Look at all you have I have already provided.”
I didn’t even see my self-pity until the Lord saw fit to point it out. I repented. Not just for that. But for the fear, doubt, worry, and anxiety.
I had been focusing on what I didn’t have instead of being thankful to the Lord for all He has given me all along the way – most importantly Himself and a forever relationship with Him!
Instead of looking to the Lord and His Word and trusting in Him and being joyful and thankful, I was looking at my circumstances and wallowing in a muddy messy morass of ugly sin in my heart.
I needed to turn away from self and turn to Jesus.
What about you?
