Seems there is such a buzz and so much hype and such strong encouragement and constant reminders about being thankful leading up to the American Thanksgiving holiday in November.
But I have two concerns regarding all this.
First, countless people focus on being thankful but do not acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ and do not express their thanksgiving for all things good to God almighty.
Second, many of us who do believe in the Lord Jesus Christ may go out of our way to be thankful to the Lord around Thanksgiving Day and the holiday season overall but may fall off in expressing our thanksgiving to the Lord once Thanksgiving Day as well as Christmas Day pass.
The Lord God almighty is worthy of our love, honor, adoration, worship, praise, obedience, and thanksgiving each and every day and forevermore!
So let us strive to praise, bless, and thank the Lord each and every day! Amen!
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” James 1:17 NKJV
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.” Psalms 100:4-5 NKJV
“I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call upon the name of the LORD.” Psalms 116:17 NKJV
