The Cost of Your Sacrifice

“What about the physical toll and cost financially of going from place to place?” I asked the Lord.

As I write this, I am going on my 5th year of being on the road full-time for Jesus with my special needs ministry dogs with no permanent residence anywhere. Very exciting, rewarding, totally amazing, but honestly exhausting, hard on my flesh, costly in varying ways. How could I possibly continue? In the strength of the Lord no doubt. But what did God have to say about the price I was paying? Oh, His answer was so exceedingly powerful.

“I went to the cross,” the Lord God spoke quietly to my heart.

Enough said.

Nobody not anybody in the universe has ever nor will ever pay a greater price as far as sacrifice is concerned than Jesus Christ Savior of the world. The only begotten Son of God, He lived a perfect life, died on the cross to take the punishment of God’s wrath, death, hell, and the lake of fire we deserve for our sins upon Himself, and was raised from the dead. So all who turn from our sins, believe in Him and in His death and resurrection, truly turning our lives over to God and His ways, are forgiven, promised forever life with Him, and filled with His Holy Spirit who leads, guides, helps, comforts, counsels, empowers, strengthens, etc. us as we go forth.

Who are we to complain, question, doubt, moan, groan, feel sorry for ourselves, feel hurt and bitter, etc., at the indescribably small sacrifices we are called to make in loving and serving the Lord with all our hearts and loving and serving others as we fulfill God’s will for us compared with what Jesus did for us?

Let us humble ourselves, put away any whining, moaning and groaning, complaining, doubting, resisting, self-pity, etc. we may have been doing, and gladly, joyfully, blessedly, and thankfully put our trust in the Lord and follow Him as He leads us forth! No matter the cost to our flesh, AMEN!

Oh dear Lord, THANK YOU for this message for others which is so very much for me! Thank you for encouraging me even as I wrote it, and may you use it mightily as an encouragement to countless others all for your glory, oh Lord, AMEN!

“But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Joshua 22:5 KJV
