Ever get so worn out doing something that you feel like you’re not going to make it one step further? If you’re in that place right now, I encourage you to pray to and seek and listen to and obey the Lord.
Sometimes this happens because we’re doing something that is not His will. Sometimes it happens because it is His will but we’re not doing it in His time frame. Sometimes it happens because it is His will and it is in His time frame but we’re putting our trust in ourselves trying to do it in our human strength not His. Friend, we need to be in His will in His time frame trusting in Him and operating in His strength.
Sometimes we’re in His will in His time frame trusting in Him doing it in His strength and we simply need to persevere and press on all the way until the end of whatever it is He has given us. When this is the case, we can cry out to Him in prayer, ask for a fresh filling of His Holy Spirit, dig deep and deeper into the Bible for wisdom and encouragement, ask people who follow the Lord to pray for us, and make the decision to carry on in His will in His time frame in His strength FOR HIS GLORY! Hallelujah, AMEN!
The last Bible verse I remember my beloved pastor referring to the last time he preached before he shut his eyes that very night and went to be with the Lord was this:
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9
This verse is so encouraging to me! I hope it is to you also! And I hope this message is as well! May the Lord use it in your heart and life whether now or perhaps further down the road – or both – to help you to be fully and faithfully devoted to Him as you press on in following Him with all your heart, oh yes!
Oh, Lord, thank you for how you walk with your children and we with you! How in the best of times, the worst of times, and in the in-between times, you don’t make us walk alone. We who follow you get to walk with you! Lord, please help us to follow you faithfully. To be totally devoted to you. To be sold out to you. And when we grow weary, dear Lord, show us why, bring any correction we may need, bring hope and comfort and encouragement we need, and help us to press on in following you in your will in your time frame in your strength, oh Lord, and yes, Father, FOR YOUR GLORY. AMEN!
