When He Reigns, He Pours

5
I cannot remember when the words came to me, but I cannot forget that they did. Only the Lord would make such a play on words. We all know that when it rains, it pours. But the Lord reminded me that when He reigns, He pours forth His Holy Spirit. He pours forth His love, His mercy, His forgiveness, His tenderness, His peace, His blessings, His everything wonderful.

In the past 24 hours in coastal South Carolina, we have experienced an onslaught of thunderstorms and rain. In one area, someone reported seeing baseball sized hail. In another area, someone reported golf ball sized hail. Where I live, I didn’t care what size the hail was. I only wanted it to stop. With all the Walk by Faith Ministry dogs, including those that do not like storms, I could do without the long series of seemingly never ending storms that we had.

But in the midst of the pouring forth of rain, I am reminded of the Lord’s reign. Nothing can compare with the pouring forth of His glory.

  1. Lara – your writing for Our Lord is always such a great blessing for your readers. Your word today is extra special! As we submit our outer person (flesh, mind, will, emotion) to The Reign of God’s Holy Spirit in our spirit, we can watch for Him to pour out His blessings of comfort, counsel, conviction and confirmation in our lives! Thank you for all you do for His Kingdom. Blessings in Jesus – Dave

  2. As far as me being a member here, I wasn’t aware that I was a member for any days, actually. When the article was published I received a notification, so that I could participate in the discussion of the post, That would explain me stumbuling upon this post. But we’re certainly all members in the world of ideas.

  3. Having read this I believed it was extremely enlightening.
I appreciate you taking the time and energy to put this article together.
I once again find myself spending way too much time both reading and leaving comments.
But so what, it was still worthwhile!
