When the Devil Says QUIT!

0

I am having a challenging day as I write this not because of my circumstances per se but because spiritually speaking the devil is coming out-of-control hard at my mind in a variety of ways in an all-out effort to get me to QUIT loving and serving the Lord particularly concerning my writing and publishing.

But the devil’s heinous efforts have backfired because by the power of the Holy Spirit I am hard at work serving Jesus and have a powerful message to share about what to do when the devil says QUIT.

When the devil says QUIT, when he comes full force against us in any way whatsoever in his ever effort to steal, kill, and destroy, we have a CHOICE. You read that right. A CHOICE. It may seem and feel like the only thing to do is go ahead and QUIT.

But we can CHOOSE to surrender to the devil and QUIT. Or we can surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ and PRESS ON in whatever He is calling us to do.

That is right, we can CHOOSE to PERSEVERE. To CONTINUE FORWARD. To MOVE AHEAD. To FOLLOW the Holy Spirit of God as He leads us forth.

But how can we PRESS ON when the devil is coming so unbelievably hard? When it feels way too hard if not impossible to NOT QUIT?

Cry out to God!

Pray, pray, pray!

Read the Bible!

Spend time alone with Jesus!

Love, praise, honor, sing to, worship, serve, obey, and glorify God in your alone time with Him as well as through the day and night as you are doing other things!

Abide in Jesus, rest in Jesus, look to Jesus, focus on Jesus!

Reach out to His followers for love, hope, encouragement, prayer, help, and support!

And PRESS ON!

Please do not bow down to the devil and QUIT!

Please humble yourself before God almighty and cry out to Him and seek His strength and all you need to PRESS ON!

Press on, press on, press on! AMEN!

Set your heart upon the Lord and PRESS ON!

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 NKJV

“Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD! Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore!” 1 Chronicles 16:10-11 NKJV

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 NKJV

“Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,” Luke 18:1 NKJV

“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you…” James 4:7-8 NKJV

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.” 1 Peter 5:6-10 NKJV
